Description:

The AIT1062 Integrated Wideband Data Tuner with RF and IF Gain Control is a complete tuner IC specifically designed to support DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem applications. It combines GaAs and Silicon technology to integrate the upconverter, downconverter, VCO, synthesizer, IF amplifier, RF gain control and IF gain control functions of a double-conversion tuner into one small package.

The exceptional linearity and low noise figure of the AIT1062 are ideal for use with wide IF bandwidths, which enable cost-effective system solutions that support the channel bonding requirements of DOCSIS 3.0 systems. The integrated functional blocks of the AIT1062 reduces to a minimum the extended comments required for a complete receiver solution. The device operates from a single +5 V supply, thereby eliminating the need for a second +3.3 V or +30 V supply.

The AIT1062 is offered in a small 7 mm x 7 mm x 1 mm, 48 pin, RoHS compliant surface mount package. This packaging enables compact layouts for space-sensitive cable modem or E-MTA equipment designs.
