Description:
The ANADIGICS W-GPRS module provides the power needed for advanced 3G handsets, smartphones, and data devices. The W-GPRS module supports GSM type dual, tri, and quad band applications, as well as WCDMA in the IMT band. There are three separate amplifier chains, one to support GSM/GPRS in cellular bands, one for GSM/GPRS in DCS/PCS bands, and one to support WCDMA in the IMT band. The W-GPRS module includes an internal reference voltage and integrated power control scheme, which facilitates fast and easy production calibration and reduces the number of external components required.
The W-GPRS module is manufactured using ANADIGICS' advanced InGaP HBT MMIC technology to provide reliability, temperature stability, and ruggedness. The WCDMA PA has selectable bias modes to optimize efficiency for different output power levels, and a shutdown mode with low leakage current, increase handset talk and standby time. All of the RF ports for this device are internally matched to 50 Ω. Internal DC blocks are provided at the RF inputs and outputs.
