The AWT6648 HELP3E™ FEM is a highly integrated dual band power amplifier and duplexer module (PAD) for WCDMA and LTE handsets. This front end module incorporates ANADIGICS’ HELP3E™ technology to provide low power consumption without the need for an external voltage regulator and has three selectable bias modes that optimize efficiency for different output power levels, and a shutdown mode with low leakage current, increasing handset talk and standby time. The module can also be used with a DC/DC-converter with a voltage of down to 0.5 V. The module includes two PA’s, two duplexers with balanced Rx ports, and a daisy-chained high directivity power coupler to provide a complete RF front end for band 1 and 8 handsets. The self-contained 4.5 mm x 6 mm x 1 mm surface mount package incorporates matching networks optimized for output power, efficiency, and linearity in a 50 Ω system.
